Where does Kambo Come From?

The giant monkey frogs are found in the Amazon Basin of Brazil and Peru. Tribal locals respect and honor the frogs for their medicinal properties. They gather them, and gently remove the venemous secretions without harming the frogs. The frogs are released, and the tribal collectors make sure an appropriate amount of time passes before they are interacted with again.

The frog secretes its venom from its back. These secretions are gentley removed and dried, forming a resin, for later use.
